All of the TD rockers I have owned(multiple type, BB and SB, both single shaft and multi shaft) have all been ball and ball type.. I myself have never seen a ball and cup style one

I believe that the cup style adjuster is standard for T@D, I had called them last Friday about the single shaft system and was told they will oil both ways (shaft or pushrod) but I didn't think to ask about the ball style adjusters for shaft oiling, a quick call to Sheldon would confirm this, altho looking on their web site they don't show any ball style adjusters in their parts listing.
Light travels faster than the speed of sound,,,this is why some people seem bright untill you hear them speak.

On my SB stuff I have oiled both ways.. PR and shaft.. both on single shaft type

Cup ends are very common these days on big inch motors with tree trunk sized pushrods, big lift and big ratio. Basically an insert pressed into the end of the tubing. Similar to what everyone thinks they look like, but the cup is not bigger than tubing, as in the past. This is similar to what we run in our 762. It's a .281 cup
But to answer Rebel's question.......if you want T&Ds with standard 5/16 ball ends to use your existing pushrods, they will gladly sell them to you that way. Some need to get past what is shown in a catalog, or they SEE online. Pick up the phone. Most of these companies can do anything you want them to do and you won't be the first to have asked

They can do them either way. It's simply an adjuster change do you know if there is a part # for ball n cup style in the 1.6 ratio single shaft?

3/4" pushrods... daaaang! When your pushing north of 11,500 RPM with a BA blown alky hemiroid motor with north of 1200 lbs open pressures you need all the stabilty in the valve train you can get I think the NASCAR cup guys might be using them also

And your wallet thickness. It comes to a time, sometimes, that you pay once or more than once trying to save money, especially on race parts I've seen 8 HP gain and a 300 RPM increase on peak HP on changing the brand and wall thickness of pushrods on a relative cheap street solid roller cam pump gas motor

So what is wrong with buying ball cup adjusters, they don't cost that much.
it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead
