Go to www.rockauto.com and go through the drill of selecting the year, make & model, then select the headlight button. You will get a selection of headlights that will bolt in all the way from stock to the latest and greatest. I went through the drill and found that the cheapest high performance are the Halogen lights, but if I wanted to stepup to the ludicrous I could go for a LED conversion at $250+ per side on my '87 D100. When you order use this discount code 4095595737193261 in the "How did you hear about us?" and don't put anything else in there and you will get an additional 5% discount. They said I could share, so I am.

Simple halogens will make a world of difference, especially since you already have the relay setup. I equate the old T3 incandescent bulbs to holding a Bic lighter out the window and trying to see with that.

I had a '64 Polara hardtop from 1997 to 2010 and one of the first things I did to it was to change all the headlights to Halogen units, because I actually drove it and wanted see where I was going at night. I also changed the drum brakes to the disc brakes because I wanted to be able to stop it. Now if your goal is to have a mantle piece, more power to you.

Any suggestions for an E Body that lights up as well as halogens and still maintaining stock seal beam appearance? Forgetting for the moment the suggestions on installing relays.
Non stock looking headlights can look out of place on a more factory like car. Standard sealed beam halogens are as close to original looking as you will find without actually running the crappy incandescent headlights. You must be thinking of E codes that have a replaceable bulb in a lense housing. Since you don't say what E body here's an example for a 70 Challenger http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=319003&cc=1078433&jsn=484

I sold it on E-bay in 2010 and last I heard it was in the Chicago area. I boxed up all of my spare parts (10 big boxes) and shipped them all to the new owner, it was not part of the original deal...I wanted the break to be complete and if I had those parts laying around my garage it would just make the sellers remorse harder to bear.
