1328 hp ? That's about 400 down from last seasons claims....Would you be intersted in buying Shawanda? She would be the cheapest car in the stable

I crack up when I read how Shawanda is a "poor old home built stock suspension" etc. That car is bad to the bone and those involved are as sharp as they come. I don't know how much money is invested but there's plenty of expertise there. I'm sure the budget is far less than their opponent. And I'll bet that doesn't phase them in the least. Doug Thanks for the kind words but Shawanda really is a homebuilt, leaf spring suspension , 1962 springs to be exact, dreamed up, funded,100% built, wired , tuned and driven all by the same one dumb hillbilly, and that hillbilly is me...

I already reserved that day off work so I can come spectate. I'll be there too. Never been to 41 and have never seen Shawanda make a good pass. Looking forward to both and ready to put a little money on the race. Dennis

Hey Streetking,
Did Chief or Shawn ever respond to your call out? I know they spoke of Brown Sugar the other day on their podcast. No they avoid me like the plague

Small 707" one appears to be a 5" BS version and the new 820" one appears to be an IHRA Pro Stock piece. yeah the picture I saw the new one looked physically larger and it needs new headers ... I'm obviously out budgeted on this deal but I'm still going to try it with my old junk , she's always been good to me when the money is down...

The new one is the last new motor Rick Jones had Kaase build for IHRA Prostock. It was built in 2006. Since then the rods have been shortened .100" and Art Hodges raced it as NHRA promod. We are going to leave the comp out of it. It makes 1550 on motor, around 1700 if we lengthen the rods. We bought the motor fresh from Kaase. We hope to pick up a few tenths this year, we went 4.80 like a bracket car last year, with 60' times around 1.10, a bad 60 was 1.14. By June the small motor will be back in the car. The Kaase motor had 2 kits on it when we bought.

A long time ago, but as I recall, Hustlin Hoosier did a massive wheelstand off the line and Shawanda won?
'63 Dodge 330 11.19 @ 121 mph Pump gas, n/a, through the mufflers on street tires with 3.54's. 3,600 lbs. 10.01 @ 133mph with a 250 shot of nitrous an a splash of race gas. 1.36 60 ft. 3,700 lbs.
