Everybody,
I need some help on the best way to install a window net. The car does have a funny car cage so it will be a 10" net. I'm looking for installation ideas.
Rods bottom and top or something different.

dont have any pics, but put the rod in the front up and down so you can bend it out toward the window some to keep it off your arm. then at the back screw it to the f/c cage with some 10/32 button head screws

i order a custom size from stroud so it fits nice

good luck hope this helps

Hold your helmet up against the inside of the front and rear (main hoop) funny car cage bars. Hold a straight edge across the outside of the bars. If your helmet can touch the straight edge at any point you try between the bars, they may want the net to extend back to the main hoop. Or you can add/re-position tubing to keep the helmet completely inside the cage.
Typical net in that application is attached to the door bar at the bottom with a bracket and small screws and at the top with seat belt style buckles on the front and rear of the net. Release the buckles and the net falls down completely out of the way. It's going to be a custom deal.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

This is what I did.. I bent the 5/16 moly to follow The cage. It gives you more arm room. I also bought clevis's to put on the rod towards the back and tapped the fowarded one for the heim to pivot on.

If you send a cardboard template to RJS they will
make any custom size or shape net.. make sure you
get the ribbon one(pretty sure its the ribbon one
that doesnt expire)
EDIT
mark what edge/edges will have a rod so they know where
to fold and sew it

Nice car! It may never be mentioned by a tech guy but fyi the IHRA net requirements state that the net must extend forward to within 2 inches of the rearmost part of the steering wheel. Last time I checked NHRA did not have the same requirement.

No pics(in DC) but on my Stratus it is attached on the door bar with rivets and a piece of stainless. The top is attached with two seat belt buckles. Simple and easy and came that way from RJ. It drops completely out of the way for ingress and egress. Which is a plus since there is a very small space in get in and out through.

On the Cuda we have a tube on the bottom of the net that is bolted into tabs on the door bar, tube adapters in tube ends to allow for bolts. The top is on a tube that slides through another tube at the back and a buckle up front. That way it drops completely out of the way for getting n and out.

Thanks all!
Any pictures of the duel belt buckle Al would be much appreciated.
Trying to figure out a couple small things like this is time consuming.

Unfortunately no..I am in DC for the next few months so not near the car. It is at paint camp right now but about ready to come home smile

Looks basically like the Cuda, only the bottom is secured with a piece of stainless steel that is secured with 6 screws tapped into the door bar. The stanless secures the lower part of the net with the screws through it. Instead of one buckle up top there are two, one on each end

I don' have a F/C cage in mine but this is what I used.
think it might work with the F/C if you mount it up and down .
You would have to check length on it though.

From the inside keeping the all Mopar theme I re-used one of my old factory seat belt buckles.
