I ran the Edelbrock gaskets with great success, I believe they're shy of 1/4 but they are thicker than the Felpros and such I've used in the past.

several years ago I inquired about some aluminum spacer's to put under mine so it wouldn't let the oil drain out of the head while doing valve adjustment's after a run and there was a member that made them, topside340 I believe his name was/is,,bought a set and used a thin rubberized cork gasket under them against the head and used a good rubber gasket under the VC, fixed my problem and didn't distract the looks.

Excellent product, excellent service. I bought two sets in 2015. http://www.medicemfg.com/products_get.php?c=Valve%20Cover%20Spacers%20-%20Mopar

I found a Fel-pro on summit that is pretty much two cork gaskets stacked on a thin metal frame(thin!) They are fairly rigid but compress well, I have been very happy with them.
