Been running 1.6 Hughes for a few years now on my Magnum heads. No problems, but you are running a much more aggressive cam than I did / am.

I have a set of the newer Hughes 1.6's, they seem to be great and never need adjustment .

What are the T&D's going for now? Are they still $1100?
Has anyone tried out the new Scorpion Big Block Mopar rocker arms?

Wanting to buy a new set of roller rockers for my freshly built 418 smallblock. Has a .693 comp cam solid roller. Was thinking of going with Hughes rockers, just wanted to get some opinions from you guys who would you go with and had experience with. Hughes, T&D, Harland sharp? Thanks in advance. Brett If you go with T&D, you will want the paired system, but I'm guessing you want a single shaft system since it sounds like the motor is already built. The geometry won't be correct on any single shaft system unless the shafts are relocated, regardless of pushrod length or roller to valve tip contact location. That goes for any brand roller rocker.

I've run H/S in my big block without any failures on a .660" lift roller cam. You have to run hard shafts (usually supplied with their kits) and you might want to restrict the oil feed a little since the needle bearings allow for a lot of flow.

I've used all three of those brands single shafts for and on BB roller cam motors with similar lift. I won't use the cryo treated Hughes rockers again after having issues with thier adjusters and nuts, they wouldn't stay tight Same thing using the better high dollar race Manton adjusters staying tight in those rocker arms also On Harlnad Sharps compared to the T&D single shafts I like and use the Harland Sharps now on most application due to the better customer service and rebuilding services later after racing and using them both I saw around .025 to .035 lift differences on both sets at the retainers I have a set of Indy 440-1 heads that I bought from a member on here that came with a set of new Jesel paired shaft rockers with 1.55 ratio, I've mocked up one pair on one head with checking springs to find out how long the pushrods need to be, no problem so far but no run time either yet so no real feed back either I'll probally run them the way they way they are now (I had to add a .060 spacer to get them aligned properly per the instructions from Jesel) for a while and maybe change the rockers to .175 or 1.8 ratio next winter IHTHs
