I have the kit in my 512, 12.4:1 compression engine. Since I want the power brakes to work in town I couldn't go any hotter cam. This cam is right at the minimum vacuum limit at idle. Here is the sound from my sequentially injected engine with the 703 cam: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPup8rZdRM8

Another good option for that combo is the Crower 271HDP

It's very tame and will work good for the OP. I ran one in a smogger 440 and it wasn't even anywhere close to being a problem with power brakes.

I don't know the case with your engine but I asked Lunati to recommend a cam that would give me enough vacuum for my power brakes...and they were spot on with the 703... Here in the upper right corner the manifold vacuum is measured and it's approx 45 kPa = 12 in Hg at a slightly elevated idle. This is just at the bare minimum vacuum for my power brakes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBkS_PWq1YU

That thing should idle like a stock 440 with that tame of a cam in there. Does it want to pull past 5000rpm or is it about done?
