Unbelievable that I post a video of a woman running 9.70's in a full street Mopar anyone car buy, with a pulley, tune and drag radials - and people somehow find something wrong with it, wow. Little more than that, with an aftermarket blower being the main mod.

It has a crank pulley, E85 tune and 305 dr's. Reading is fun. EDIT: just read it also has a 2.75 blower pulley also, stock boost is 11-11.5, a crank pulley puts it to 14psi, that combined with a 2.75 upper makes 18psi. These runs were stock except for 2 pulleys, E85 tune and swapping rear tires. What a lame achievement....said the closet Chevy/Ford lovers.

I LOVE IT!!!
I've had 2 different cars that ran in the 9's but they weren't very streetable and sure as heck didn't have comfy seats, a big stereo, AC, cruise control, highway gearing etc etc. If I had the money I'd buy one of these Hellcats in a heartbeat but I also know that I'd miss my old muscle car so I'd have to have both!

Wow, the crying is incredible. I watch her drive it to the track make her passes, and drive it home. She is there all the time racing it. It's a killer car and I love it.

Malicious-- I totally agree! That gal's charger is AWESOME. It's also a reminder that vintage muscle cars no longer rule the street, OR the track! My hat's off to her. Its a fast car for sure and impressive even more because of the weight. Cars of today are taking advantage of modern tecnology as all the real fast newer cars run a power added like turbo's and superchargers. The fact is the technology is good enough that the factory's can sell cars with power adders and even offer a warranty. I know I basically built my 63 like I would have in the 70's as we just did not use power adders back then and my guess is they just did not have the technology to make the power adders real street friendly. And you have to understand that today they do and we all know how much power these super and turbo chargers add. Heck my 63 would have been the fastest street car around running in the 10's in the 70's. But today there are some very fast street cars that dont sound or look as fast as they are. Its great to see the cars run so good but you cant really compare the older stock muscle cars that were all N/A to these cars today that are all boosted. I have been saying for a few years that Mopar needed to boost the Challenger to be competitive with the boosted Mustang's and Camaro's and its great they did it. Myself I love the cars I grew up around and I love when I can race in a Nostalgic Superstock class because its the cars I love. But it is great to see the Hellcat's posting these awesome numbers and I sure as heck do respect them. Ron

Mopar guys are there own worst enemy. Nothing against muscle cars at all (hell I own a '67 Coronet) but if you can't appreciate a basically factory stock Mopar running 9's you need to stop hitting your head on every wall you pass cause you're causing brain damage. "Oh, it ONLY runs 9's and has a 1000 hp, the owner should fall on his own sword that's so shameful". This isn't a dedicated drag car, this is a family car you can go anywhere in, not some nervous barely able to make it idling through a stop light cycle drag car. It's not optimized for 1/4 mile racing (although it does do fairly decent). Pop this drivetrain in your 3400 lb A body and it'll run 8's.

Hat's off to her, technology is a wonderful thing. Being she's got my street car covered by 1.50 seconds i'll be throwing no stones, especially since it also undoubtedly get's better mileage & rides nicer too.

Mopar guys are there own worst enemy. Hey you think thats bad? I can take a damn near stock CSX and blast into the 12's with it with $100 worth of parts and a number of Mopar guys will give me the stink-eye because the drive wheels are on the wrong end of the car. This is nothing new, I have been dealing with it for years. Its like they are trapped in some time bubble from 1965-1971. They hate anything post 1971. I like them all, FWD or RWD as long as they carry the Mopar banner and are fun to drive. The Hellcat package is outstanding, been very, very tempted to sell off two rides and pick one up. Or a Scat Pack. So far I have managed to resist.

I love it when the unloved and under appreciated Dodge cars do fantastic times like this. I realize this car probably is not showroom stock and Dodge is owned by Italians and that Camaro and Mustang have 2 less doors and are lighter and........................Its just satisfying to see people I know --who hate Dodge for really no good reason- see videos like this. I have some Chevy ignoramus co workers who will see this clip at work monday. Just like in the past- Chevy is not the only way to go fast.
Keep old mopars alive.

They still have yet to tap into the trans programming. In typical Mopar fashion they have it locked up pretty good.
