Numbers are from 2 different motors.

13233259 : casting # for 51-54 331ci. chrysler. this appears to be a 54 block because it looks like a non-extended bell block as used in 51-53.
cwc : chrysle windsor canada foundry

D502 - 10361 : D502 = 241ci. dodge car, 54 modle year
10360 = engine # built [not entirely sure on this]

member trwaters is an early hemi expert. maybe he will see this post and comment. hope this helps some.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the 331 is evidently an early model. Here are some more pics. It has the extended bell housing. Can it even be used for anything?

Here are some pics of the other one. Are these just conversation pieces or are they usable for anything? A friend inherited them and doesn't know anything about these..(neither do I obviously).

I'm trying to give him some info so he can decide what to do with them.

Those are in rough shape to say the least. not worth much. I hate to say that. Cool but not worth much more than scrap.

extended bell not a problem , just machine it off and retap !

look bad but prob some good parts there block ,crank , heads , sheet metal ect .!

Based on the exhaust I'd guess one is from an industrial application (pump engine etc.). As mentioned, those look WAY rusty from weather, I'd be surprised if they aren't frozen up tight. If not maybe salvageable to build, if not probably good for parts, either way $300-$600.00ish would be my value guess. Some guys will go as far as milling off the extended bell versions to adapt a standard bell housing but it's a lot of work and expense to salvage a 331.

Found out a little more info. The 331 may have came off of an irrigation pump.

I agree, they look pretty bad to me. Too bad the guy didn't take better care of them. He had them for a long time. I feel bad for his son. I think he was hoping they would be worth something..

sorry i mis-identified that extended bell block. i just guessed the first picture was of the rear edge of the block and not the inspection/vent hole of the extended version.also, as has been mentioned,there may be[and probably are] usable parts on both engines, but until both are disassembled, the best bet would be to proceed as if they are nothing more than yard/garage art.

There's a shorty bellhousing adapter for the '53 motor. No machining necessary.
I agree they have some value, the $300 - 600 guess is good, I think.

It freezes in Missouri. I assume it has rained in the engines and frozen. Looks like shop decorations to me.

Intact, I would bet your looking at scrap weight. Maybe more if you find someone looking for parts. Pull the valve covers and rocker gear if its any good, maybe exhaust manifolds if they are not cracked, those items sell pretty good, especially if you clean them up and paint the covers. They make great wall art, and that's probably where the value will be. The rest of the stuff you will be lucky to give away!

If you find someone waving $300 in your face, grab it before they change their mind. You probably won't get that much from them out of parts. Gene
