I have what I believe is an 2806 070 fan clutch. Hoping someone can provide the dimension from the end of shaft (pulley mounting surface) to the fan mounting surface (4 bolts that attach fan) so I can measure mine to confirm. Also any other features that will help me confirm this is indeed an 070 clutch would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Great link.....very informative. Looks like an 070 clutch should have a 1 1 1/4" shaft length. Mine is 1 1/8" which is not discussed in this thread. It came with a 116 fan unit attached. I will have to do a bit more research to figure out what I have.

A picture always helps.

The 112 is shorter but the same in appearance then the 070.

Morty, you are wrong, the 112 is 1/4 inch longer than the 070

Yep you're right. I was thinking about it backwards. The 112 is closer to the radiator meaning it's longer.

Anybody have an idea on what application is 1/8" shorter than an 070? I have convinced myself to use this one even if not 100% correct as it is in great shape.

dont know the application for one that is shorter, but the guys that rebuild them can sometimes set them to the correct height.

Joe,I would imagine anything much shorter in height would create an issue by putting the fan blades closer to what is behind it rather than being close to the radiator.I had to mill a 1" spacer to get clearance on my wagon with a 7 blade fixed fan,no room for any clutch fan,you can see how close it is.

Bill,

Thanks for the heads up....I will make sure I am not to close to anything on the front of engine. If so, I will have to come up with another plan. It is my hope the 1/8" won't be a problem. I have my fingers crossed.
