The added safety here is due to the faster response time of LED vs. incandescents OR 2) Put a third brake light on the rear package tray (better looking than under the wing) OR 3) Get a license frame with a third light (again better looking than under the wing)

Maybe that's the way to go. Lot easier than pulling the back seat, upper and lower quarter panels, and package tray insert...

I have seen some that are like 1/2 thick and probably 18 or so inches long. If it were moved to the underside/inside of the wing so you couldn't see it as you walked around the car, but if you were in a car directly behind it you could see it.
