I'm helping a friend work on a 67 barracuda we put all new headlight and engine harness on the car as it was a rats nest before. We went to start the car today and I don't have and I have power to the headlights brakelights but I don't have any power to any accessories radio etc nor the ignition wires to the electronic ignition box etc. I pulled the ignition switch and it has bench test good but it seems like I don't have power to it maybe any advice? Thanks in advance.

Do you have power in and out of the amp gauge?

I have power at the fusible link going in and the alternator feed which if I recall is the other side of the ammeter

Anything that would be a key on only power isn't getting power in any position of the key including the fuse box

If you have power on the alternator lead and the fusible link unless something else is amiss you've completed the circuit through the ammeter. Do you have power to the ignition switch? You should as the black wire coming off the ammeter turns to a red wire in a splice and goes directly to the ignition switch. I'd start at the switch and work my way to the fuse block. With a '67 at least you can pull the switch out easily for trouble shooting.

My suggestion, don't disassemble any more than you have to. It sounds like you didn't replace the instrument panel wiring harness so I am assuming that it follows the FSM wiring diagrams. I'd follow the black wire from the ammeter. It goes to a splice that has a black w/tracer, another black wire, red w/tracer, and red. The red one is supposed to go to the ignition switch. Good luck.
