I'm no guru but with the displacement and cam you stated I'ld say you have to big a carb on it.

It sounds like a fuel issue. May I ask what size fuel line your running?

We run holley blue pump half inch line six pound of pressure.
Bingo, the old Holley blue is probally not up to the task that your asking it to do Can you and did you look at the fuel pressure wghen it was missing? If so what was it reading. Did you look at the spark plugs at all? If so what color are they and when did you look at them, in the pits after the run or at the end of the track after the run without driving it back to the pits.? Give us some more information off of the time slip, 60 ft. times, 330 times and MPH 660 ft, ET and MPH and the rest to times off of the time slips that it missed on. You can take a Ohm meter and check the spark plug wires also, I had a 440 motor that would miss slightly only in high gear above 5000 rpms which ended up being three spark plug wires going bad, to high of resistance for the MSD 7C to fire lots of things can cause a miss in the motor, some of them are easy to find like broken spark plug or a spark plug wire vibrated off and others can be a real bear to find Good luck, please let us know what you find and post that back on here Lots of people on here learn from each other

could it be lean?
Bill I think your on to something. It may be too lean since he passing so much air through that 1150 and max jet is #100 or .125. Try a 1050.

I'm no expert by a long shot but sounds like either a lean condition or eletronics problem. I had the same thing happen to a 383 dart pulled like a mofo thru 2nd then would stumble down track. Jetted up by 2 until the problem was sovled.
