Son has finally agreed to sacrifice a few pounds for some more comfortable seats and get rid of the plastic race buckets. Since it's not a restoration and stock buckets are so expensive, I figure some comfortable aftermarket buckets or maybe another American manufacturer. SIL and I rented a '15 Mustang 'vert to drive from PCB to Pensacola NAS- I couldn't believe how comfortable they were. (Challengers were not available anywhere near PCB. frown )
So what are you using? Pics would be nice as well as mounting hints. thumbs

Stock buckets for '72-74 are not hard to find or as costly as the 1970-71 style. I have a few sets in the loft if you decide to go that way.

Guess the folks down here don't know that about the '72-4 buckets. Anything you find seems to command a premium, even if it's just a rusty frame. shocked I figured if I had to buy junk frames and then spend more on foam and covers, I might as well go aftermarket.

P.S. Guess you still aren't doing PMs (I tried). If you want to send me some info on what you have, I would appreciate it. Bolt-ins would be nice. thumbs

The Cordoba/Charger/B-Fury & Monaco/Coronet buckets will also work...but they will be 1970s era comfortable. Later model mini-vans and K-cars will up the selection and might not be to bad of a fit. Measure your track width and then go to the local yard and see what is close and if you like it.

If I remember right there was a guy over on the '71-'74 Charger board that installed 300M seats in his car? I can't remember what he had to do to make them fit but they looked good.

I haven't been on it for quite a while but I found lots of good 3rd gen tech stuff on there. Glad to be of assistance.

Called my son last night about some seats Alaskan TA has and he reminded me the Charger has 5 pt. harnesses in it that he wants to keep. I guess we'll go aftermarket so time to start shopping.
Thanks for the help (especially you, Barry). up
