The cam is installed at 106* ICL
Average 60ft is 1.32, 6.42 sec 1/8 mile, no mph....
I was thinking of a smaller carb for ET's......
Yes I want quicker acceleration !!!!!!! That 60 ft. times is outstanding I know some very successful NHRA SB Mopar stocker racers that would kill for those 60s The 1/8 miles times don't seem to jive with those 60. ft times to me How about some of the other SB racers on here, how does his 60 ft compare to yours? I'm thinking that the motor is running out of fuel in the upper gears, maybe not My 60ft is usually 1.33-1.34 with 4.56 gears and 30 in. tall drag radials.
1.33 60 ft,6.21 at 110.59 in the 1/8, pump gas small block,2950lbs,drag radials,mufflers and driven to track ...

I would advance the cam.. increase the stall and change the gear... that will pretty give you all of the torque you can find... if thats a 108 cam I would think of 102 or less... check the clearance

salut wedgeman! the cheapest way to add torque is to lengthen collector extensions. also, no carb spacer or a thinner one could help if it hasnt been tryed before. let us know of the results.
fully legal sounds the same as full illegal...

if you use an exhaust system, you could use cut-outs right after the headers. hooker and hedman make them among others. even electrical units are available.

I have cut out...unfortunatly my et' wasn't better.........
Tu vas a st-eustache des fois ? If your collector is in the 16"-18" range from the end of the pri thats all you want

Id have to say gears or more compression as well. I recently went from the stroker norm of flat top zero deck slugs to the off the shelf wiseco 8cc domed and it made a world of difference in only the pistons were changed, rebalance. I did put a post up that if you changed any or all would change the torque.. but advancing the cam is one of the least costly ones

hi wedgeman. try adding a length of tube on the open end of the cutouts. that is what im doing on my street car when i go racing. i open the caps on the cutouts and add a collector each side. it is well worth it. i never raced at st-eustache but i have been there several times in the past wrenching for a friend of mine who was racing on the road course. i personnaly go to napierville dragway once or twice a year when i want to go racing. as we speak, i am rebuilding the differential i broke last fall. i just finished setting-it up this afternoon.
