Hi Karl,

If your arrow is pointing to the top mouldings that the convertible top latches against, those are not chromed but polished metal. thumbs

Agreed, ALL the windshield trim (5 pcs), window and outer (4pcs) of convertible trim is all stainless, just remove/repair and polish it out, no chroming need...

Any of the E body stainless convertible pieces are VERY difficult to find that are not smashed, dented, bent, twisted, or torn. If you can find the two large ones on the top that need no repair and don't have dents in them from hooking the convertible top header panel into the top of the windshield frame are worth at least $1,000 each...............don't ask me how I know..........these are extremely rare in excellent condition.

If you've never had to deal in the rare hard to find E body parts -- hang on..............

I bought a complete set at a wrecking yard in 1985 for $35. I bought a second set of the top pieces a couple of years after that for about the same price. They're not perfect but can be restored with polishing. I didn't think they were hard to get until a friend needed just the drivers side post trim - he'd been looking for a long time. Sold him a spare I had 20 years ago cheap. How times change.
