Forward pattern Cheetah.

Took the car to have it aligned and the idiot that INSISTED on driving it into the bay kept trying to use 3rd gear to move it. Get in the car to drive home and NO 2nd gear?!!

1st and 3rd work fine.

Accumulator cocked in the bore?

Either the lever or the link broke. Most likely the link between the band and the lever. Easy fix with trans in car.

Thanks for the replies. The jam nut backed off and let the piece that goes between the adjuster screw and the band fall out...

You can actually buy a "slip" or "snap" band to replace that band while the Trans is still in the car...just cut one end off the old band to slip it out...I install them into 2006 Dodge trucks all the time...

Darn , haven't seen that down here .
thanks for the heads up - maybe not best for a bracket raced trans ?
been 30 odd years since I worked in a auto only shop
