Hello, anyone install a belt kit on a 4.0 pacifica or a 3.5.. whats the trick on getting the belt around the water pump tight with both gears in line.. I have tried everything and this thin looks so simple yet its kicking my butt..

Are you holding the belt to the gears? You can use small vice grips.

There's a pin in the tensioner, right? Did you retract the tensioner and hold it with the pin? As long as the belt is held on, then put the tensioner in and release the pin - it should hold the tension on the belt.

Not sure what else to tell ya. Maybe Guitar Jones will chime in.
