I'm finally reassembling my '70 Charger, and for some reason I don't have a picture (prior to disassembly) of the part below. I think it is related to the AC/heater box (possibly the evaporator). Anyone know what it is/where it goes?
1968 Charger R/T, 440 Auto, GG1; 1969 Super Bee, 383, 4-speed, T5; 1969.5 Road Runner, 440-6, 4-speed, 96; 1970 Duster 340, 4-speed, EV2; 1970 Charger R/T SE, 440 (496), Auto, EB3; 1970 Dart Swinger 340 (416), 4-speed, EV2; 1970 Corvette coupe, LS5, 4-speed, Daytona yellow; 2000 Corvette coupe, LS1, 6-speed, Twin Turbo, Torch red.

Thanks - that's what I thought it was for but wasn't sure. On my '70 Charger there is a hole that looks like it would correspond to the bracket. The hole is in a different location from the one in the above pic - more down by the brake line. I'll see if I have a pic.
Edit - pic on my phone - not the best but shows the hole.

My 70 Charger 500,70 Charger R/T and my brothers 70 Charger R/T all have this bracket on them. Both R/Ts are U-Code cars and the 500 is an N-Code car.Possibly a big block only thing in 70 B-Bodies. John.

I don't. Did not have a vin, motor, tags or any of that when I got it from the crusher. Just an empty non rolling shell.

I just took another look, no hole on my car for the mounting screw either.
So, possibly an early vs. late thing or small block vs. big block?
Mine is a 318 car, built in St. Louis with 10-1969 on the Mylar door sticker. My brothers R/T is a 12/69 build,my R/T is a 3/70 build and my 500 is a 6/70 build date. All 70 Chargers were built in St.Louis,so it has to be a date and or engine thing.Or possibly lazy line workers? John.
