I'm looking for standard steel 15x7 wheels with 4.25" back spacing. Wheel Vintiques and Specialty Wheel 15x7 are 4" BS. Specialty has there's listed as 4.25" but I just talked to the guy and they are really only 4".
Thanks for the help

Talk to www.thewheelsmith.net They do custom offset steel wheels. They built these for me with a custom offset -

Doesn't tire size matter here too?

I'd think there are a few of these in junkyards still. That's where most of mine came from.

Wheel Vintiques will make a custom offset for about $25 a wheel. FYI

Anyone know the backspace of the steel wheels used during the 80s on fifth aves and such? I believe they are 15x7.

The 15x7 steel wheels I run from time to time are a 4 1/2" b/s but that was measuring from the inside at the drum to the edge of the wheel lip. If the true b/s is measured at the tire bead these would be a 4" b/s not a 4 1/2". Maybe the op is looking for a true 4 1/2" b/s... shruggy

skicker brings up a good point. I believe the correct way to measure backspacing is from the hub mating surface to the inner bead seat. BUT I have seen it also measured from the hub mating surface to the outer edge of the inner flange. So this begs the question..how do wheel vintiques and the others measure the backspacing? Guess i'll make some phone calls. Thanks for the help

Yes...... make sure you call to see how the vendor measures it. I was always taught to measure from the mounting surface of the wheel to the inner bead as well. When I ordered custom backspace steel wheels from Summit (don't remember their vendor now) They came in wrong. They asked where I was measuring and when I told them they said they measure to the outer bead. Luckily, they worked for me but I learned something that day.
