Hi,
Does anyone make a disk brake conversion kit that uses the original spindles. I have never done is before and want the job to be easy.

Joe

I know from experience Wilwood does and I suspect most others do as well.

I purchased a Wilwood kit for my 70 Charger with original 11" front drums. This kit uses the original spindles.

The original disc brake spindles? Probably not. There are kits for OEM drum brake spindles but they are mostly lightweight drag race kits.

Best bet is to swap on the late model disc brakes from a Mopar. Then you'll still have parts store replacements.

Go get a set-up off of an 81 up Diplomat. It doesn't get any easier... Mine were from an 87 Gran Fury...direct bolt on to a 70 Satellite.

I used the spindles off a disk brake '73 up A body and caliper adapters off a St Regis, calipers from NAPA for E body, 11.75" mopar cop car disks from NAPA, one of the last sets of semi metallic brake pads from Mopar. All MOPAR and correct geometry. Get the info HERE.

I’m listening.

Easy, get the spindle bearing spacers from Dr.Diff for the '70-2 B/E disc spindles. Then buy a pair of 11.75" rotors from the parts store and a pair of caliper adapter brackets from any number of sources.
