Who has the best fire jacket? I hope to run 10.50s Not sure what I will need clothing wise for nhra.

The jacket needed is dependent on the car and how it is finished inside the drivers compartment, I may be wrong but you should really EM either your local NHRA division tech. director or NHRA tech. department. Give them the specs on the car, which type or class you want to run in, stock intereior or not, type of fuel your going to run and so on. Make sure and ask for a written reply with SFI spec # needed for the jacket and a list of the other mandatory parts you will need for you and the car

I dont know if these are the best but Extreme sportswear inc. has Mopar racing suits and is what I use.

Basically, if you're running a door car slower than 10.0 seconds all you need will be a 3.2A/1 jacket. It starts changing if you go faster than 135 or are supercharged, turbocharged, nitrous equipped etc. Spelled out in detail on page 65 of the 09 rules.
