Yes, will work with various results depending how bad they are to start. Wenol will work about the same too. They both are sort of similar products.
Toothpaste will work too.
Also wet sanding from 600-800-1000-then fine rubbing compound and plastic polish will give really nice results. Depending on scratch depth you may need to go

Yes, but it is a single grit and may be too fine or too rough. Try it and see.
For heavy scratches use 1500 grit paper then 3000 grit paper. Then follow up with these and it'll look like new.
Cheap but good at Amazon -

LEFTY NAILED IT...Ived used the number 2 scratch remover on headlights as well as lenses and even gun stocks...A local plastics company highly recommends it for all plastics...It did a great job on these 1963 Dodge lenses...They look like new..

On our late model stuff, we just use regular polish and get good results on taillites, headlites, marker lites, etc. I have tried some of the so-called plastic polishes and don't see any difference in the gloss.
If you really want the tailites to sparkle like new and to stay that way, spray them with catalized clear. We do that with headlites and taillites and they look great and the clear is much harder than the original plastic, so it resists new scratches and scuffs.
It is best to glass bead the surface so that the clear has a good textured surface to bite to. Sounds extreme, but works very well. We've done dozens, both older and newer.

I've found most all of the polishes that are good for aluminum work equally as well on plastic. Choose the polish by condition of the lens. If its in rough shape start with a more aggressive polish...then finish with something finer.  Stay away from a bench top buffer as previously suggested...

I've found polished and compounds for paint work equally as well on plastic too.
