Picked up the headers from the coaters today. That's the end of the project until warmer weather returns.

Merry Christmas all!

Yep. No heat at my shop and the wife would really be underwhelmed with me if I brought it home and left the her car outside all winter.

Right back at ya John. MATS is a possibility so far. Just have to see how work looks and if we get the folk's estate settled by then.

Ted, I'm hoping to get the car running and it goes straight. If we make it that far then we'll see about travelling. I was at Tri-State helping my buddy with his stocker in October. I really like that track.

Doc, I had to get rid of them. I have enough trouble keeping 6 running.

Looks good Dennis. How much wood could a woodchuck chuck? If a woodchuck could chuck wood?
Now theres something to ponder down yonder.
Merry Christmas Don

Took a day yesterday and rode down to the shop. Took some country roads I had never been on and went into a couple small towns I had never been in, just goofing off. Got to the shop and put the Daytona up on stands and pulled the rear out of it.

Disassembled everything and verified that it has Moser 30 spline axles in it, spool w/4.56 gears, and 10" brakes. Got some big fill/drain plugs ordered from Moser that Patrick will be installing soon. Then the housing and brakes got to Jeff Long's shop for bead blasting, then back to my shop for painting and re-assembly. Then, I can bring the car home and start wiring and plumbing.

Also heard from Keith Long yesterday about my trans that I wounded earlier this year. He tore it down and looked it over, and it appears that I broke the converter and got lucky enough that it did not send shrapnel all through the trans.

My wife keeps asking why I haven't finished this thing yet. I keep telling her that I absolutely do not want to finish it on credit cards. I'll do what I can as money allows.

all sounds good Dennis...credit card debt is the worse to be in...if it takes 10 years to build a car, then so be it...I'm on the 15 year plan

Hung the nose back on it temporarily today. Jeff picked up the header flanges so he will be ready when the car gets there. Patrick has a couple more little things he wants to address, and then it goes on to have the headers built.

Almost looks like a race car again. Life is good.

Good start Dennis, Soon it will almost like this..

I like your hood. Mine is a cowl, and it has been patched up. It will get replaced sooner or later.

Rode the bike down to Patrick's shop today and helped him install the bungs for the Moser drain and fill plugs. I know there's a bunghole joke in there somewhere, but it's too late to figure it out.

Patrick has a little more welding to do and the housing goes over to Jeff Long for bead blasting. Hopefully before long I'll have it back on the wheels, and then it will come home as weather permits for wiring/brakes/plumbing.
