I've got some Crane ductile rockers for a BB here that have galling in the bores, so I was going to bore them out and install bronze bushings (I've got a mini mill and lathe), does anyone have blueprint specs for them? The pads look good so I won't have to get them ground but the bores definitely need to be done. Looking for mainly the bore to shaft dimensions (clearance), but any would be appreciated. Also what kind of bushings would you go with? Initially I thought oil lite's, but they're probably not needed as its pressure fed. I was going to bore them out .060" ish, bush them, then ream/hone them to size (I know bronze it's tricky to ream)

When I bought a SB motor it came equipped with bushed Crane rockers. The shafts were also ground down to fit the new bushed rockers.

Unless you have all the tooling, are very good with dial indicators and have a bunch of experience, I would send them to Rocker Arm Specialties in California.

If you have the tooling and feel comforatable making fixtures and things, go for it.

Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston

I'm not so sure I'd want to bore them out for a bushing. They don't have a lot of extra material to begin with, and I'd be afraid of weakening them too much. You may want to consider honing them to smooth the galling and get about .005"+ clearance on the shaft. Then use them on a motor with full time oiling to the shafts, preferably not from the cam bearing oil feeds.

Last I heard, RAS was no longer in existence. I hope I heard incorrectly.

You did, I had Gary bush, change ratio to 1.6 and blueprint 7 BB Mopar ductile iron rockers that I had here. I had them do a bunch of different brand, Mopar, Isky, Crane, Sig Erson and some cheaper no names, ductile iron rockers back in the early 1990s the same way as these are being done I've used them all up except the last nine I had so it is time to use them on my latest street pump gas stroker motor (512 C.I. 440 block) I'm making now with stock type heads. I sent them to him several weeks back, he quoted 2 to 3 weeks to finish them and he said Fridy he will ship them to me tomorrow, 2/16/20015. I'll post when they arrive and any appropriate comments

The new owner of RAS, rockerarms.com closed up in 2012. But the old owner help the employees reopen as RAU (rocker arms unlimited). I hope they offer similar parts and service like they use to. I guess Cab will let us know!

I guess that's why I heard RAS was no longer in business. I was hoping there was still a possibility of getting some 440 Max replacement rockers.

I had RHS bush some Comp Pro Magnum a few years ago. They didn't bore out the rockers. They press in a bushing and use a smaller diameter rocker shaft. I have an extra set of their shafts if interested.

PSO headed 632 from MM. Cracked cylinder, loose valve seats, low oil pressure, low cylinder pressure.
..... Now its a door stop....
