Another shot of the 295/50-15 on the 8" rim.

While there is no perfect cross reference, because tire measurements are left to the manufacturer - the following is the best practical reference to cover all musclecar era sizes.

Tread width is no-where in the tire size spec.

D70-14 = 195/70/14
E70-14 = 205/70/14
F70-14 = 215/70/14
G70-14 = 225/70/14
H70-14 = 235/70/14

E70-15 = 205/70/15
F70-15 = 215/70/15
G70-15 = 225/70/15
H70-15 = 235/70/15

E60-15 = 225/60/15
F60-15 = 235/60/15
G60-15 = 245/60/15
H60-15 = 255/60/15
J60-15 = 265/60/15
L60-15 = 275/60/15

& everyone likes/wants bigger tires

You've mentioned buying new 15x7 wheels from Summit is your plan. I'm assuming you are going with the "ralley" wheel then? If so, make sure you repaint them the proper silver paint. They come with a grey paint on them and most buyers are lazy and just bolt the center cap on and mount the tire and go. Those wheels look TERRIBLE if left alone and totally standout as fake ralleys.

I cannot put rims and tires on the car because i need to put a lot of money into getting it running. So I have to use the rally wheels I have. I know everybody's says they look small, but the biiger rims are not in the budget. So can I put 215 70 14s on the front and 225 70s on the rear? I just want the back tires to be a bit wider than the front. Sorry, and thanks for the help.

14's look small on a big B-body you will most likely be disappointed with the look, If you can't afford 15x7 Rally Road wheels go find some cheap steel wheels and run 15 inch tires that way you haven't spent money on 14 inch tires that you will be unhappy with along with having a hard time selling if you ever decide, Then later when you can afford it buy some 15 inch Rally or Magnum 500's 15's are getting hard to find I imagine finding 14's s even more difficult

My 79 powerwagon had 15X7 steelies stock, I bet there are a lot of them in the bone yards. At least around here anyway.

It's refreshing to see cars as they were, with all their faults including "small" (by today's standards) tires.

The small difference in width/diameter between 215/70/14 & 225/70/14 won't be noticed, save yourself the hassle of different sized tires front to rear & buy 4 of the same tire.
