How can one tell the year/body a set is for if there's no part# on them.

well that was difficult to read... but I'll go out on a limb and say that the said hangers will be 2" longer than the stock ones on your B body.

Superstock springs have a 20" front segment.

They fit A bodies and 62-63 B bodies.

Other cars with longer front spring hangers.

I believe he is looking for actual measurements from
the front mounting surface to the center line of the hole
for both the stock and long hangers.... yet I have
no idea what DAY they would fit.. I would guess just
on Monday and Friday... LOL
EDIT
It would also help if he would say what car he is
trying to put the SS springs on so someone could give
him both the front spring length and the proper hanger
length

What they fit? I had to read it a few times to know what you meant.

day = a 24 hour period

The amount of leafs in the springs should help determine what you have. Some have more, some less,

the longer set is for a Dodge, they always had 1" longer wheelbase.

If I'm understanding the question the OP (i.e. 71GTX471) is trying to ask. He has two different sets of front spring hangers. He provides measurements of 4.25" & and 5.25". Without any part numbers, he is unsure what body they came off of or what springs the hangers may fit.

I believe his subject line regarding "SS front spring hangers" may be adding to the confusion of the post.

71GTX471, Can you provide the spacing / measurement of the 4 mounting bolt? Perhaps it will be easier to first determine the body (i.e. B/C or A/E) these fit. Are there two set of mounting holes for the spring? A picture would be helpful...

Also, check out the following link(s) which may give you a better idea regarding the number of different front hangers.

The measurements on my MRE-0097 are 3.250" from mtg surface to hole center. The photo does not look like it's ligned up correctly, but it's an optical illusion. Below is a link to a good description on Mancini.

OK to answer cruzin one set I have is missing the mounting studs & I can slip the other set right in to them & everything is identical side to side top to bottom, there are 2 spring eye bolt mounting holes.
TommyD I see your hangers are for 64/70 Dodge B 3 1/4 & if SS springs are 2" shorter then stock springs my 5 1/4 hangers should be for a 66/70 Dodge B using SS springs, and I think I read Dodge factory springs are 1" longer then Plymouth springs then my 4 1/4 hangers should be for 66/70 Ply. B using SS springs.does this make sense.

I can't comment on whether that is correct or not...simply stating what I have and the dimensions. T

71GTX471,

From your feedback, it sounds like these hangers were B-body and for use with SS springs. Your statement is nearly correct however, Super Stock / SS Springs are not "2 inches shorter than stock springs" but rather the front segment on SS springs are a fixed 20" long. IIRC, most non-SS springs, will have a front segments 20", 21" or 22" in length depending on the body.

As a result, of the SS spring having a 20" front segment, depending on the body, the front hangers may differ in length to accommodate the body they will be used on.

Hope this helps clarify.

Well I guess the only definitive way of knowing would be to have measurements from the 4 SS front spring hangers sets available. This would be helpful when looking @ swap meets CL ETC ETC when the owner/seller does not know what body/year they are for.Maybe Mancini could provide the measurements.

A bodys used 20 inch fronts Bs used 22 after 66. 65 and 64 were 21. IIRC 62 63 which actually werent B bodys were 20s.The MP hangers wont work on a 64/65 b body. You have to redrill them to fit without mods. You need to use the ones Andy a member here makes. For an A body SS springs bolt right in.
