I am in the middle of my install for my Hotchkis Subframe connectors on my 1968 Dodge Charger. What side is what??? The instructions have a view showing the "Drivers Side" But I am able to re-create that view with either side connector by simply flipping it over. Is this view from the top?? Or the bottom??

Does the flange that bolts to the spring hanger default to the outside of the car, leaving the connector more inboard?? If I do this, it fits nice, but the stickers are then visible on the inboard side of the connector. All the pictures I see shows the "Hotchkis" sticker visible to the outside of the car when installed.

Ready to tack weld in, just stuck at this point in the install.

Thanks!

If every thing is good, the front part of the connector should align with the "T" of the front subframe where the front frame rails are welded to the Torsion Bar crossmember. Sticker "SHOULD" be to the outside, but production has shifted from the west coast to the east coast and we've seen our fair share of upside-down and backwards sticker placement. I'll see if I can get you a pic as well.

That is what happens when you farm out production of parts...

Quality stays at home...

It's a bit zoomed out, but you can see the alignment of the connectors.

It's still at home. We moved production from Hotchkis Performance in Santa Fe Springs, CA to our new East Coast Facility Hotchkis Performance East in Moorseville, NC.

Ya, but when the local company opened a new plant in Georgia they had lots of quality problems.

I went with Flange out, stickers in... they mounted more in line with the front frame rails, and the seat holes lined up better.

It's stickers in, so now I will have to tell everyone I have them Instead of just letting people notice.

Sorta like all the crossfit people do!

Thanks for the heads up. Can you tell me the assembly date on the label that has the part number on it? I'll pass an e-mail along to the production manager.

Found a decent pic. Now I just have to make sure my cutouts don't interfere with these...

I have cutouts on my car. They would be sorta blasting the bars, but I have room for a turndown if I wanted. I will post a pic here.

Hey, that's my car. Always liked that pic.

We had an issue when we installed those a few years back. The flange that bolts to the leaf spring side was upside down. The bolt pattern differed slightly top to bottom. So we cut, flipped and re-welded. Extra work, but I still think they are best for the common guy.
