I ran both the bias ply fronts and radial fronts and actually had MUCH better handling with the radial fronts. I know they say not to mismatch radial and bias ply, but the car was much more predictable easy to drive with the radials. Many will argue and I understand their reasoning, but that was just my personal experience.

you should not mix the 2 on the same axle,IMO

I run 29x15.5x15 on a 12" rim with 165/15 on a 3 1/2"x15 rim on a 85 step side truck with no probs

I also run some 235/15 on 7" rims on the front with no probs

M/T has a wide sreet radial tire also thats new

you could run some front runners from micky to matcha sportsman

IMO,they dont wear that good for street driving.for the front

my sportsmans are holding up good to daily driving and has been 1 1/2yrs now,reg street tire on the front

run em!

I've driven quite a few M/T Sportsman cars with the same setup.
Front and rear tires aren't on "the same axle", I think they mean the same car...?
Hate to say it, but I've never had issues.

Back in the day guys to cheap to buy matching sets of rubber would put whatever they had on any wheel. Sometimes they would put bias-ply and radial tires on the same axle. Seeing as how they grip differently they would get bad results.
If you run mickey's on the rear and radials on the front you shouldn't have any issues.

I had a 74 roadrunner way back when and tried the radials-frong and bias-back, scary handling. I had M/T sportsman fronts on my duster for a while. Absolutely hated them. Car felt like it had 250,000 miles on the front end parts. Constantly fighting the steering wheel. Put some Kumho radials on the front and now it drives like it should.
