I am looking to paint the rear armrest panels on my '65 Belvedere convertible. I am guessing I have to take out the rear seat to get at the screws holding the panels on. Any trick to this?

thanks in advance.

Been a few years since I re-upholstered my '63. Lower seat on mine was the standard push back & lift. Think the back was two 1/4 or 5/16" bolts & then just slide up off the crossbrace.

it is the standard push back and lift.
the top of the seat has 2 bolts behind the bottom to remove, then if you look there are 2 hooks on the back of the top of the seat as well.

there were only 2 screws holding in each side panel as I recall. but it has been a while since I pulled mine. maybe 3. one was in near where to top rests when it is open.
