Fiat seems to have an ax to grind with any success in Motorsports that doesn't have Ferrari on it.

I doubt Fiat has any radar on it, its likely NA operations treating these things as short term marketing projects - no immediate profit? Axe it.

This will be no different - its just part of the 2015 Challenger launch marketing spend.

This "kid" was leading the Tans Am series at mid season in a Camaro and was hired away along with Tommy Kendall to run a Dodge.

Really enjoyed the video thanks for posting! Makes me rethink running a 5.2 magnum in my Dart and stepping up to a 5.7 Hemi instead.

OOTB the cylinder head is 80-120 cfm better. Most of the same difficulty to install also.

My Build thread: Let the hemi swap begin!

1968 wanna be pro touring whatchamacallit with some fancy stuff and a new roof skin.

Agree on the head flow, not on the rest as I have already done LA to Magnum swap on 2 other cars. Very, very easy and fairly inexpensive to install a magnum 5.2 or 5.9 in an a-body. Such a huge advantage over LA I got rid of all my old LA hardware.

I'll do the numbers again, perhaps some of the required swap hardware has come down in price and the numbers look more feasible. Problem finding good hemi engines too. $3000 for junk with 100,000+ miles.

I've seen complete 5.7 car motors for $500-1700 down here. The expensive one even had a 5 speed auto attached.

The headers and the EFI are expensive, but worth it.

$1000. 100,000 miles, overheated and needs headgaskets.

This would be a typical ad here in the north-east.

$3500 for 2006 with "bad lifter" no miles listed.

you can get re-manned long blocks w/o intake and bracets for $1700-up. Or you can just bite the bullet and get the whole ball of wax and spend 6k

For me in the northeast the price per dollar isn't there yet. If I want a 400 hp small block I'm better off with the magnum engine package. I have considered going big with a stroker 400B engine which in a 3400 pound Dart would be entertaining as hell.

Still have time even though I still have most of the small block parts on hand.

If I went 5.7 hemi I'd go all the way with the fuel injection and matching trans.
