biff426 OP super stock B Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 936 Deland, Florida	I talked to Mike about the alternator bracket he makes I am pretty sure it will work to run a mechanical water pump and should fit a b body. It uses a small GM alternator (one wire) which should make for a much easier swap. It works with car timing covers and if you have to buy all the factory stuff tensioners, idlers, alt, PS delete stuff you come out money ahead. 8335021-6.1AltBracket.jpg (696 downloads)

biff426 OP super stock B Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 936 Deland, Florida	The water pump pulley is grooved like the alt and balancer I looked at a factory 6.1 setup and the water pump appears to spin clockwise. With the water pump pulley grooved the belt should not walk.
