Posting for a buddy of mine who wants to swap the factory power unit to manual setup. Anyone done this and if so what master works properly, and what other parts required if any?

You need an E-body manual push-rod, firewall stiffening plate and manual master cylinder.

I stock all of these parts. As far as I know, I am the only source for a repro E-body manual firewall stiffening plate.

Is the master you have available the newer style and if so any issues with leaking from the caps? I have a master that looks similar to the pics on your website on my dart and the caps seep fluid. I appreciate your reply to my questions.

Rockauto shows a manual disc brake master cylinder for a 1974 Challenger.

Yes, I stock the newer style 1 1/32" and 15/16" bore aluminum master cylinders.

If your caps leak, I recommend replacing them with a pair of Dorman # 42044.

Thanks for the info guys! What size master would be best for minimal braking effort.

Smaller bore master cylinders equals less effort, but also requires more travel.

I don't list the E-body adjustable push rod on my web-site.

If you are interested, please call for more information.
