I may be taking this in on a trade and need some help on what it is and what it's worth and how hard it will be to sell.

Thanks in advance for anyone that takes a few minutes to help me out.

do you have a hemi you can set it on to check if it will even fit anything because they do some funky stuff in SS

Unless you want it as a conversation piece or are getting it dirt cheap I do not see a lot of value there. Cool part but not a big market for it.

That was built for a SS car that had to keep the carbs in stock location. At some point (maybe late 90's?) they changed the rules to allow the carbs to be relocated, but they still must be offset by a small amount.

The port shape is usually unique to the heads used in SS/AH (rounded or sort of figure 8 shaped) and it's probably made to fit a block that has been decked A LOT...like 1/4" or more.

I'd think some street-squeaker would grab it up just for the novelty.

As pointed out the port shape and deck height are probably one of a kind. That intake may not bolt onto anything other than the combo it was built for.

You are always best to buy intake/heads together as a package, otherwise you will have fitment issues. Plus most hemi combo's are decked .100 to .500", which is OK as long as you have the correct pistons for it. Dyno

Thanks for the help guys, not exactly what I was wanting to hear but it's what I needed.

I've got $750 in it so hopefully I can get that out of it...

With these things you'd have to know the engine combo it came off of to make it work or have it worth anything to anybody. As was mentioned alot of funky stuff was/is allowed in SS/AH so whereever it came from, the guy had a specific set-up it worked with. Chances of finding someone that has the exact same set-up is slim, anf putting more money into it hardly seems worthwhile, IMO as that can get pricey between flow time & welding time. For what it's worth, to me it looks like an early Ray Barton design.........

Got one just like it, mine made by Hogan and fits the standard deck height. Carbs set different than the original crossram so linkage attaches to right side of one carb and left side of other. They had to work better than the old crossram or they wouldn't have made it. Back in the day Bob Reed told me the biggest factor holding the SS back was the restricted intake. If its been cut for low deck, spacers can be easly made no big deal. In fact i'll have to cut mine or raise the heads.
Any carb combo, just make new top plate. Mine will be street car so real good wow factor. What says Hemi more than a "tunnel ram" crossram
