You've got the 60ft of a 9.60 car and the speed of a 10.70 car from there on.
I would do a comp test and check to see where your cam timing is first, if it's way over advanced then retard it and see what happens. You may lose a little on the 60ft but you will make more than that back on the big end.

I have the same problem. I have a 1.33 60 ft. and run 108 mph most of the time and ran 109 once. According to the calculator on Wallace Racing web sight I should be running 112 mph and 2.5 tenths faster.
1.33 60 ft,6.21 at 110.59 in the 1/8, pump gas small block,2950lbs,drag radials,mufflers and driven to track ...

That is my guess!! the problem is going back to that gear drive and having to sort thru all that again. I was ready to set my hair on fire the first time.

A cylinder pressure test might point in the correct direction. If the cam is in was early the cranking pressure will be high, top end power will be shifted to lower rpm. Thus big torque, resulting in quick 60 ft. More torque would slip the converter more tightening the rpm drop between gears.

To me it's saying you have the chassis sorted out really well, vehicle weight is light, and you are ET ing good without a bunch of horsepower probably 575- 590 horse?
Do you run a lot of gear?

There is no 1/4 mile tracks around here. I was running a untuned 950 carb on it when I ran those ET's. I have put the 1050 Dom. on it that it was dynoed with (662 hp)and went to track one time and it would not do nothing but spin really bad (6.80's). I have never had traction problems before so maybe I will get to track 1 more time before end of season and get a new best.
