Well the white HAS to go. There are three paint jobs on the car. The first to are with RJ Racecars livery and the last is white. Paint is VERY heavy so we will be stripping it down to the bar carbon fiber. Then will likely go with the new Mopar Orange color with some pearl added to it.

Comp would be awesome but not in my bank account to even think about it. The Predator is 605 for now, will likely get smaller next time based on what we get here. Not a fan of the big stroke stuff but figured it was time to give one a shot. At 605 it is a A/AA car and no way we will make that kind of steam for sure. Although I would entertain thoughts of a C/AA combo maybe at some point. I think that shows more promise for a Mopar than anything higher. Had a kept the 99 it would be a natural for B/AA though.

Rick, We are going to do this NA for now. Out here there is no worry getting in fields as we rarely have full ones. Sonoma National only had 27 cars show up. I do have the intake set up for nitrous and will get the intake off to Monte to be plumbed and flowed however. Wanted to do it now but everything is off to the machine shop for final tweaks then dyno time. So will get the intake done later.

You don't always have to be the quickest or fastest to become a Champion as proven by good friend & engine builder Mike Thompson IHRA National Champ 2012

Mike's been getting it done for the last seven years naturally aspirated with two engines....the bigger of the two being a 605" Dart Block that runs low 7.40's and I believe has been 7.30's in good air.

I wish you the best of luck with the new car

Rick trust me I have been doing my homework just like the .90 stuff. I do not plan to ever be a "fast" car. Be fine with top of the bottom half for ladder reasons.

Funny you mention that....that's right where Mike usually falls

I want to say they run the smaller cube engine for the 1/8th mile stuff and the 604 in 1/4 mile....never asked why....but believe I know why

Ted trust me people dig through it all the time. I am kind of an appearance nut so we replace perfectly good parts all the time because they don't "look right"

I got your PM and will sift through what I have and let you know soon.

To bad you are not looking for plumbing stuff or Autometer gauges as I have a TON of it. I have just gotten tired of placing ads frankly. To many want to beat you up all the time over price.

I know what you mean! It is even worse when somebody wants something and you send them a message and never hear back! I am pretty tapped between new car payments and some leftover medical bills anyhow.

Awesome Al! We have twins in a sort of a way lol. I have Larry Morgans old strat that is also RJ. Glad to hear about the predator motor too. I'm doing a 701 pred for mine, but have a small nitrous hemi in it for the time being to sort out the car.

I'm with you on the white needing to be gone, but the white top is great in the sun. I was cooler in the car than my guys standing in the sun lol.

Best of luck and would love to compare notes about the cars if you're ever so inclined.

Darren

Congratulations Al! My two favorite Mopar race car bodies are the Stratus and the Dakota, I was looking for one of the two and the Dakota came along first. If you ever come east and need some help at the track let me know, I would be gald to help.

Al is a racer first, not afraid to trade up to a better unit. It is cool that you stayed with Mopar, but you do what you have to do to win.
