I had Hoosier 30x 10.5 radials and am trying to switch to Phoenix bias tires. How much diameter do the 29.5 bias tires grow during the run? I think I need to cut my opening but am wondering how much clearance is minimum? Any help appreciated.
Thanks

One inch at the center, a little less on the edges. You may get by with 3/4 inch, but it would be VERY close.

We had that tyre after running M/T's and Hoosiers of the same designation. Great tyre, but it rubbed at the bottom front of the arch.
Actual diameter was over 30.5 inches, we had to change back to M/T's. We had around an inch clearance too.

Thanks for the input. Looking to be ready for the NATS, I think my best option may be to cut my losses and sell these and buy MT's which are smaller, otherwise I have some cutting to do.
