Anyone know of anyone who builds/sells 318/340/360 single turbo headers or a kit w/ t6 flange . I've looked with no luck.

I'm looking for a semi bolt on deal. Not looking to fabricate a lot, and I know that sounds dumb.

Find some decent sb Chevy ones and weld Mopar flanges to them would be the route I would take.

Mopar to the bone!!!

I can't remember when it was, but in a Mopar Muscle (I think) issue there was an advertisement/new product article on a single turbo bolt in deal for the 94-02 rams, maybe someone else will chime in

When I built dizuster turbo set up we used the magnum
manifolds flipped to the other side so they exited
in the front, then I made up the front Y pipe to get
to the single 76mm turbo.. then I did the rest of the
hot side and the cold side... he is running 10.0 right
now in his 62 4 door Ply... I dont know of any kits
that you can buy

Since turbos and high heat go together, how are the considerable expansion/possible leakage issues handled if SS is used for the exhaust?

Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

I've never had any issues with SS.. some say it
cracks but if you have expansion joints it souldnt..
if any of the steels cant grow they will crack

Well since SS is the worst at high temp growth, what style expansion joint is used and in what areas, that doesn't have leakage issues? I agree, solid restraint would be detrimental and prone to cracking.

most use a double slip joint or a stainless bellow. you can use the stainless braided flex couplers as long as there is a bellow inside

Mine has a stainless bellow inside the flex joint. But the ball / socket flanges on the manifolds allow for quite a bit of movement when needed anyway.

No off the shelf kits are available from what I've seen. I even considered duplicating mine to sell... But I think it's too much trouble to mass produce for such a small market.

I used some SS shorties and flip them side to side.

do you have pix of that set-up? My next build might be a short box Gen I Dakota. I was thinking about puting them right be hind the cab in the bed, but If you can just flip them that might be easier.

Not with me at work, but I can take a few when I get home. The only thing we had to do was move the power steering bracket up just a smidge and we did that with a plate.

Here is the driver's side. It is not the greatest and I can take some more this evening if you want and move the car out of the garage for more light.

You can see the 1/4" aluminum plate we used to relocate the PS pump (between the head and pump). The collectors are cut and v-bands welded. It really is a pretty simple swap.

Hope this helps.

Also, I just remembered...I have another set of SS shorties that I bought from someone who cut the collectors and welded v-bands just like you will need to do. I can take a pic of them because they are not on a vehicle. Let me know.

Just for curiosity's sake, any reason a short 4-2-1 header design couldn't be used?

That would work. Even stock exh manifolds will work. On my build, a true custom tubular headers wouldn't give any advantage over the shorty header that is flipped.

What kind of shorty header did you start with?

I don't know the exact brand as I bought them from some one. Just some stainless shorties much like these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Manzo-Stainless-...dfb&vxp=mtr

That is the truth... you guys would laugh if you saw how small the hole is in the turbine itself that all of the exhaust flow goes through.

My manifolds only have a 1 7/8" outlet for all 4 cylinders to flow through, and have supported 700+hp with no issue so far.

I've seen 1000hp plus on stuff a lot worse then the magnum manifolds.

Not sure if this will help but here are some I made, not that hard to do. I have a rack so it was easy to go down/forward
