The original is pitted bad, so I either need to get it rechromed or pick up a repop. It is the remote style. What do you suggest? Is it possible to tear it apart without breaking the mirror itself? Car is '68 Dart GT. 383, Hemi 4-Speed, AlterKtion, D60
