Thanks for the info ! - I had thought the "cut-off" would have been earlier in the year due to the lead time necessary for the new model changeover....

How early in June Dan...I know of an original owner documented FC7 Hemi Challenger June 16.

My copy, of course, was sitting on top of a TV not hanging from a wall as it should be. Last month someone asked if I saw the details of June's "tidbits" of info printed on the calendar? Here's June's.
Well, it's on a Mopar calendar so it must be true

And it's posted on the Internet so it's absolutely, positively, indisputably true.

JS23R1B435xxx.
When the owner sat down to order the car, the salesman told him it was too late in the year for a hemi motor, he would have to wait a while and order a 72 model, largest motor 340. Bill told the dealer to forget it, that he was going to Ford and could still order a 429 Cobra Mustang. Next day the salesman called saying they spoke with Chrysler and the order could be processed. Car was ordered FC7, auto, 15x7's, front and rear spoilers plus a few more options. Had one repaint, then 6 or 7 years ago the Challenger was hit on rear 1/4 by an old lady while owner was turning into a local car show. Waited a couple years for insurance to find an NOS quarter, found and installed, then car was repainted again....still retains original drivetrain. Owner told me he would have liked a shaker hood but that would have added one more car payment. When the car came in, it had front spoiler pkge in trunk like should be, however there was both Challenger and Cuda front spoiler pkges. The dealership, not knowing any different, installed both the Cuda and Challenger chin spoilers on the car which it still carries today.
