I would think other years would work, but the headlights would be the stickler.Just have to change the mounting to your year.

80 PU core support. What else works and lets me use my grill shell.
Dual or quad lights? Definitely '80 down would be easiest and as mentioned light location.

79-80 rad supports are unique. They have large openings and provisions for the bolted in headlight mount panels. They will accept either the quad rectangular lights or single round. The round headlights are in a different position than the 72-78 trucks. The older rad supports had the headlight mount stamped right into the suppor and was deeper set. The 79-80 round headlights stick out more and wont accept the older grille or vice versa Also the 79-80 trucks used the new hood with a surface mounted latch so you cannot use the older hood without modifying the latch area. The 79-80 rad support is pretty much only interchangable for those two years unless you feel like doing lots of modifying.
This is what I thought but wanted somebody to verify. Thanks
