I just wanted to be sure which year this type of cluster is from before I decide to install it. I have a '69 Plymouth, but if it's for a '68 I may not use it at all. I don't have a photo of my actual cluster handy, so I used the one attached. One thing I don't remember is if the lettering is on the gauges or the lens if that matters.

Can someone verify which year this is for?

Thanks.

i think that's is a 68-69 gauges.. only the 10-150 gauges are 69 only. I think not 100% sure.

I was not aware there was/is a difference in 68-69 gauges. It does appear to be from a GTX since it has the 0-15 lens, RR, Sat, and others had the 0-12 lens. The lettering is on the lens itself not on the actual gauges.

There are four versions of the 150MPH cluster I do know that!

The 1968 model year started with the GTX & Coronet R/T 150 MPH speedometer looking a little crowded. 0 to 150

Mid-model year '68 (December '67?) the 0 to 15 MPH speedo came into use. The date would've varied at the three plants that assembled GTXs and Coronet R/Ts: "A" - Lynch Rd., "E" - Los Angeles, & "G" - St. Louis.

This cluster continued to be used for the '69 model year. There is a date on the back of the assembly & also on the tach or clock (but be aware that parts have been swapped and changed in 40+ years). Some of the '69 units also have printing (for the switched mounted below the cluster) on the face of the lens, not sure if it is an early VS. late issue or a plant issue? Another item that changed at some point is the TEMPERATURE gauge - some of them have the operating range in the center of the gauge & some have the operating range shifted to the right. The '70 Coronet R/T also used this cluster.

6bblgt, Thanks. I never knew this or probably just didn't pay attention.

Thanks for all the info & the photos, it helped a lot.

I'll have to start hunting around for a few other parts & see what is involved with swapping. I'll also have to have it checked out to make sure it works & what the final total will end up costing me. What I have is a base model Satellite with the 120 MPH cluster with a dummy plate where the clock or tach goes. I did think about simply putting the tach in place of the plate, but the 150 MPH cluster would be a nice upgrade.

Thanks again.

I'm quite a ways off with getting pics of that swap. Most people do before & after photos, but all I do are before & before that photos.
