Wonder if the mounts have been moved back. I'm pretty sure this car (70 Charger) was used as a race car. Just windering if the mounts have been cut and moved back. Thanks.

Not sure why but K frame welds are often fugly. I've seen pieces of welding wire (2 " long!) stuck to them. Whatever company made them (Chryco?) must have use the Kframes as the welding training ground for new employees

That's up to you?......what do you suspect is altered?......if/when you measure. use a known reference point that is fixed on the K, like a hole, or ear tab edge, something you know will be the same on any K frame,( 70 Charger that is) triangulate measurements if you have to?

I think the engine in this car was moved back at one time or another. The car looks like it was raced. The trans tunnel has been altered it has holes in the floor for cable shift and diveshaft loop and frame connectors. Given the guys lack of turthfulness about the car I wouldn't be suprised.

Could be a 65 or earlier, hard to tell by the pictures. It was done a lot,set the motor back about 1 3/4".The fact that the floor has been modified is a good indication.

Wouldn't the drive shaft then also be shorter so he could check its length and compare to stock?
