Were building a 493 BB for a customer. Its just a bracket engine. We have the BB Edelbrock Victor heads on it and I'm curious as to who has what kind of luck with various rockers. We like Jesel but they arent in the budget and Crane is about 4 months out.

We tried some of those on another project identical to this and broke a few... :-( around 750 lbs open....not a ton but they broke. Went to Jesel and havent had any issues.

The ones that our customer used were before the heat treated ones that Hughes has, at least to my knowledge.

Does Crane offer them for the Victors now with offset intakes?

If Crane doesn't make them a whole lot stronger than what they have now, they're not going to hold up to big spring pressure, either.
