Were building a 493 BB for a customer. Its just a bracket engine. We have the BB Edelbrock Victor heads on it and I'm curious as to who has what kind of luck with various rockers. We like Jesel but they arent in the budget and Crane is about 4 months out.

Where the ones you broke the heat treated ones that Hughes sells now with the blue dots on them for the heat treated identification ?

I used Harland Sharp on mine, so far so good. Solid roller .674 lift 1.6s. That said, they are close to the valve cover rail on the pushrod side so had to clearance valve cover flange to slide over studs without hitting rockers. I doubt you could use stamped steel covers without interference.I used fabricated aluminum covers.

I would recommend T&D rockers. The single shaft T&D rockers should work real good on that combo.

The ones that our customer used were before the heat treated ones that Hughes has, at least to my knowledge.

Does Crane offer them for the Victors now with offset intakes?

If Crane doesn't make them a whole lot stronger than what they have now, they're not going to hold up to big spring pressure, either.

I have T&D's on the max wedge victors. I think they are 0.725" offset for the max wedge ports. I think standard victors use a 0.600" offset rocker arm (Intakes)?
