Oh
I have 2 of the Big Block Gold Crane 1.5 roller tip rockers and the pin that holds the roller in is loose. It won't come out but it slides clear to the edge of the rocker. My fear is it will keep working it's way out and then I have a failure. The other 14 don't move at all.
I don't see any clips so I am assuming it is a press fit so would it be possible to repair them??
Maybe install a bigger pin or a longer pin then use a clip to hold it in??
Or just bite the bullet and get some new ones unless I find some good used ones.
What do you engine guys think????
Thanks guys, David

My opionion only. If 2 are bad throw all away. It will save you a motor.

If the MODS did their job I would not be hitting the notify MOD button. LOL

I'm sure they rebuild them, send all of them back for a rebuild at the same time.If you are not running lash caps put them on when you get them back from the rebuild and you will be fine.

PS they rebuild them back to good as new and if one is not rebuildable they will tell you and you can buy a new one.

Crane won't rebuild their own roller lifters, so I'd be surprised to hear they rebuild rocker arms. I figured Crane would consider rockers even more "disposable" than lifters.

I had a couple that actually broke and they were 3 years old. I called Crane and they basically told me that they were past their duty cycle and there was nothing they would do for me.
