Should be easy, the 61 came with a BB..back in 1964 a friend pulled a 318 out of his 60,and put in a 413..from a New Yorker... damn thing was fast then..I Think he could use the same iron,t- flight but they had a different bellhousing for the BB..

Isn't the emergency brake part of the trans on that body style? Although it won't be bad if the new trans has park which the original didn't.

IIRC The bells are removable from the iron trannys.Only thing is the early cranks are different. You cant mix and match them. You need a 62 up trans when they went to aluminum case. Then if 65 up you need a drive shaft with automatic.64 was the last year for B&T shaft for autos.65 last year for 4 speeds. If the 413 is pre 62 it will work.Rocky

You need some 'Floating Power' big block engine mounts. They look like the poly mounts in there, but are different. You can get some aftermarket mounts at Imperial Services

Switzerland, eh? Not so easy to find parts over there.

American cars from the '60s were boats, cornering was the farthest thing from their mind. So swaybars and some good gas shock absorbers would really help.

I'd suggest a 1 1/8" front bar, and a 3/4" rear bar as a safe place to start. On a rear wheel drive car the front bar always has to be stiffer than the rear bar.

You may consider stroking the Poly motor, it'll go more than 390 cubic inches with a 4" crank. People even make stroker kits for them.
