What's everyone thaught on the housing living in a 3200+ lbs car running mid low 8s

Looking at the new centers also, Yukon or Aluminum?

I have had zero problems as of yet only bent housings, back brace fixed that.

Would like to just swap everything over to a stronger housing and center.

I run in the eights with a 8 3/4 in my car, back braced, spool, 35 spline axles. I am at 3225 and it has lived for a lot of years so far. But I only 60ft 1.35 so it's not hitting the tires that hard.

If you have a back braced housing then your fine there...
you wont break that part... I'm still running my back
braced housing running in the 8s with a alum center
but in a light car with a 1.19 60'

I've been 1.24 60' in a 2750 SB 5.66 1/8. 8 3/4 w/ all the tricks except an alunimium housing. I've grown REAL tired of breaking stuff!I'm hoping to be switching to a dana soon.Broken parts break hearts and budgets too!

I'm hopping to get my car down to 3200 but it's probably gonna be 3300.

So is the Aluminum center better than the new iron one from like Yukon or so?

Seen a pic of a iron one that looked really heavy duty, outside appearance didn't resemble much what the normal look like.

Anyone know who makes the heavy one?

Whose housing is that?

Been tossing around what to do with my 8.75
Strange axle's & spool, stock housing, no back brace and stock caps & bolts = not gonna live long
