Which one is easiest for a bracket racer...Been trying to research them, and holy cow...They can be very complicated. None of them look easy to use or cheap. I am simple and just want to keep an eye on mainly the tune with different carburators.

Looking for sothing either wifi or SD card...

Need the following:

water/engine temp
fuel pressure
oil pressure
bat voltage
rpm

A/F Ratio?

Been looking at this one:

I can recommend Rpm, customer service is absolutely superb

I had problems with the oxygen sensor readings and Randy sent us a new "box" for free, after 5 years...talk about warranty

If you are watching the tune you need the A/F feature...
one of the important things in data logging is the
read rate.. the one your looking at reads at 100 times
per second... thats pretty good.. also you need to know
how many more channels can be put in(more reading points)
and how many analog inputs it can read(just in case)..
on the down load,, thats more of a personal thing..
I run a data logger that you can read on the display
and down load via cable to a PC... amount of data
is very important also...I'm not very good on how much
those data cards can hold but I do know its a lot
if its simple data(not video)... like that company
said... you will need to get info from time to time
on how something works or mounts... if they are a
good company they will be around for years to come..
the unit I have is already out of business so I'm
on my own... next and maybe one of the more important
things is cost of any read outs, probes and sensors..
some places bend you over on them... I got lucky on
mine since I had a pile of them from working.. also
the type of read out... most are "K" type now days
and 0-5 volts on sensors

I just picked up a used Innovate LM-2

http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/lm2.php

Doesn't have a ton of channels, but will accept 4 analog inputs, plus RPM and A/F. Will accept voltage signals from electric gauges.

It's pricey new, especially if you need to get the additional transducers, but I got mine on the cheap.

Racepak........

I have been looking at those for over a year, and I cannot figure their website out as far as what I need and the price...Heck, they even have a camera overlay option, but I cannot figure that out either.

I will be putting a camera in this year as well....

I think the AEM is the best bang for the buck. $500 includes harness and G meter. Sensors extra, but still way cheaper then a Racepack.

I have the innovative ssi-4 in my car with a AEM wide band gauge. It was only $129 new, but requires the laptop in the car to data log. For as cheap as it is, it's worth leaving the laptop on the front seat in my opinion.

When I was deciding on a logger,Race pak kept to the top of the mud. I bought the dash with the logger in the dash.
Been buying sensors a little at a time because they are pricey.I really like the harness set up,everything plugs in

So how do you get the big connectors thru the fire wall?

I have RPM, they have Wifi option which I have and like, their customer service is awesome but I have had to use it, that being said, I do like mine. No experience with Racepak they do look very appealing but a little more expensive. It is a pain to plug in if you dont have SD or the Wifi, so you are correct that those options are very desirable .

There are racers with Racepaks and people who wished they did. Never regret buying the best.

Been trying to figure out what the sportsman one is with a dash...Their website stinks.

Sportsman $825
Dash, not sure which one, $?
What else do I need?....if I can't figure out what the heck I need, I can't even compare them. What options does the system have? Which dash works with the sportsman, do I even need the Sportman if the dash has a logger? Very confusing...

I put a racepac and dash in my Duster with the plans of taking it out and installing it in the Daytona when its finished. I love it so much I'll buy another one for the Daytona but I won't buy another dash. I prefer gauges over it as that's what I am used to and can check easier going down the track.

I've got a computech sportsman kit with the lcd dash on order. I was leaning towards racepak but I cant put my faith into a company thats owned by msd. Im not knockin msd at all I run lots of their stuff. But they did just claim chapter 11, thats a little scary putting that kinda loot out not knowing how thats all going to play out.

RacePak isn't going any where.

you can use either IQ3 dash or UDX dash with the sportsman logger. if you have gauges, you don't need to add a dash.

I've been using the dataquest system from Altronics.

Been happy with it and the prices seem fair compared to the other companies. Also the amount of add ons can be incredible.

I'm no expert, but if you get the sportsman, you can use the display dash if you want, but you don't have to.Just download the data to a laptop. If you get the logger dash, you don't use the sportsman because the logger is in the dash

I have a Racepack. I don't have the display. I review my runs on a laptop in the pits.
It cost about $1500.
I think each sensor is like $250. I got two 02 sensors and a drive shaft sensor.
