This is a 375/60/15 ProTrac tire.
With a spring relocation and remodelling of the wheelwell it would fit perfectly between the outer fender and the framerail...

Here however is a 325/60/15 MT tire, which would fit inside the stock wheelwell and 'maybe' with the stock springlocation aswell, but I'm not quite sure about that yet.
I think it does look good though...

Both tires mocked up...

So, what happens when you get some body roll?

Or sidewall flex?

I ask because the N50's I had on my 64 300 fit fine, till the above happened then they would just kiss the leafs.

a ? for both. how much sidewall to spring/fender did you have ? i like to see about 3/4" minimum if possible.

In my case I forget how much clearance I had, I sold that car almost 20 years ago. Didn't have an issue out the outside, just the inside of the tire and it kissed just enough to rub a shiny spot on the leaf spring edge. But I doubt it was 3/4" clearance on the inside.

On the Dodge I will be moving the leafsprings to the inside of the frame rails.
From what I've seen in the mockup yesterday I believe there's about an inch of room between frame rail and outer fender.
I do have to remake the entire wheelwell and make the inner part flush with the frame in order to be able to install the large 375 tires.

The roofline indeed is cool.
My plans however are to turn it into a 'removable' hardtop.
With a winch in the garage I plan to be able to lift the entire roof, install a 'convertible-like' cover and take it for a sunny spin.
The roof will be locked into place on the body with heavyduty clamps and pins.

Even though the car has a full chassis frame, the car/body itself will be reinforced in various places to counter deformation.

Here's a pic of a '59 that I started but lost interest in, it was finished by a friend. It has 29 X 12 Mickeys on the rear, springs were moved onto the frame and it's tubbed.

Thanks for that pic John.
Eventhough I'm not a real ProStreet-follower, that is, for this car, just about the 'tire-look' I'm after.
I will also need to lift the driveshaft tunnel so the body can drop low enough over the rearaxle.
