In getting ready to have my heads worked on I am trying to decide what kind of valves to buy. The engine will be a stock stroke 360, with a cam in the 220@.050 .510 lift range. The heads are 308's I am going to have some mild port work done on and opened up to 2.02 intake size. The donor was pretty high mileage so I am sure the guides need replacing anyway. Hughes 11/32??? (HUGHES 1006/1013) The intake seems to have even more of a step down on the stem, and the exhaust has a pronounced tulip which I've read the 308 port responds well to. Is there a real benefit to 11/32 stems? I know they are lighter but this will not be a high revving race mill. Mildon Megaflow 3/8??? (MILODON 45215/45225) Both valves have undercut stems, and do not appear to have a ski-jump that would need back cutting. Would there be any benefit to 3/8 stems wear/stability in the guide? Could I run "normal" umbrella seals at that lift? Thinking easier replacement / come in gasket sets for service later down the road. Any other options??? Mopar Performance valves look to be about twice the cost of the Milodon. Anyone else I should be looking at? Kind of leaning towards the Hughes parts as I type this out.

I think you are over complicating that build. I have run stock valves with more cam than that with no problems. so any aftermarket valve will be a step up.unless it's chinese garbage
HAHAHA, I almost made "you're over complicating it" a fifth choice. I don't mind spending a little money on this build, but I can't build a new one every other year. The last engine I built for this car lasted 20 years and probably 200,000 miles. I just want to make sure that the parts will last and I will be happy with the results for a long time to come.

I have friends who have broke the chinese Hughes valves, run far far away. Mopar performance you're paying for a name, not really added value. I would opt for Manley or Ferrea.

I usually pay around 140-150 dollars for (8) Ferera valves off ebay when I go to a bigger valve in some of the heads I work on. pretty cheap insurance.

Milodon has a standard "Street" stainless valves that should fit the bill. ( 45640/45645 ) All of their stainless valves are manufactured in Argentina, which is good! I have heard many manufacturers use Argentina as their source.
I'm running the Milodon Street stainless exhaust valves. I've got 10k mi and 150-200 passes on my 360 and it just ran a new best in September. I've been kicking around the idea of putting 2.02s in the heads this winter and I plan to use the intakes if I do. I don't think you can beat them for the money.

A Street 360?, yes IMO, you are overcomplicating, besides, you will likely step up to alum heads, anyway, so just send them to hughes, do a minor bowl/port/valve job,let them ponder the SS valve choice, give them a credit card, and focus on something else.
Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.
